Hello all! How was the weekend? I had a fantastic one. For those of you who don’t know, Issue #1 of Black Fox Literary Magazine was released on Friday! We had a really good response and I’m so thankful for those of you that have visited the site and read the magazine. The issue is available for free online on the Black Fox website and we also have a print version that is $10. In other news, my short story, The Truth About Lipstick is available today in The Scarlet Sound. Read it here. It’s my first published piece, so I’m very excited! As my thesis presentation is nearing, I’ll be a little MIA around my blog. I’m going to try and have at least one or two posts, but until next week is over with, I won’t be thinking about blogging (though you KNOW I still love you all don’t you?) A few announcements about Black Fox Literary Magazine. This week we’ll be adding a non-fiction section to our submission manager. We will also have ad space available for authors who would like to promote their books. The cost is $10 for a full page ad and $5 for a half page ad. Due to printing costs we can only offer this in black and white. We’re also launching a Black Fox blog and we’re looking for contributors to blog about topics related to writing, reading or publishing. In the very near future we’ll be offering manuscript consulting, so be on the look out for that as well. As always, we’re looking for fiction, poetry and creative non-fiction submissions. Information on everything mentioned will be available on the site this coming week. Happy Writing!

Yay!! So glad that your short story is out for the world to see!!! And I got the okay from my agent to start submitting my short stories–I can thank you for that. 🙂 Good luck with your in working on your thesis presentation; since Quita and I are going out of town in the next few days, we tried to get the bulk of it done this past weekend. To say that I'm a little nervous would be an understatement.
