   Hello all! How was the weekend? As you all may or may not know, I’m on vacation! Sadly, this is my second to last day off. I was supposed to be blogging more, but then I realized that I had better try and spend my time really zoning in on what important things need to be done. I made a list of what I planned to do on my vacation, and I’ll tell you all about how much of it actually got done in a separate post.

    I want to share some exciting news with you all. Over my little break I got an acceptance letter for a short story I wrote. It will be published in a literary magazine called The Scarlet Sound this August! Those of you who read my blog know about the endless rejections I’ve had. It feels so good to finally get a yes. Which brings me to my next point. I was relentless with my submitting. People, you have got to get your work out there. That’s all I can say. Take Advantage of the free contests and the calls for submissions. It pays off in the end. I hope you all will make the effort to submit your work somewhere at least once a month. You can find lots of opportunities here every Monday. It’s really that easy.
