Song of the Day: Graduation (Friends Forever) by Vitamin C

My thesis presentation went well from what others told me. From my perspective…Eh. I was so nervous! I had intentions of not reading off of my paper, but when I got up there I couldn’t remember anything and I froze! So I ended up reading. The good new is that I looked up a lot and kept a conversational tone. The presentation went by very fast. I was supposed to read from my novel for ten minutes, but that didn’t happen because the craft and form section took up forty five minutes! I’m glad it did though. I had the best support system there to put me at ease. My family was there. Then my amazing sisters Pam and Quita, skyped the presentation so it felt like they were really there cheering me on. Plus our little brother Matt was there.
After the presentation I was asked a couple of tough questions. I think I answered them well. Lucky for me, I was able to reference other books that I read to help me answer the questions. See why it’s important for writers to read?
The presentation was on Tuesday and the graduation was on Saturday, so after it was over, I was able to enjoy my trip. I went to New York and got to see most of my family and friends. It was a really nice time. I feel rested and I’m ready to get back into things. I missed my blogging buddies too. Hopefully, I didn’t miss out on too much in the blog world. Below are some pictures from my trip.

Congratulations!! Your MFA program sounds much more intense than mine. We had to do a reading of our creative thesis but otherwise we didn't have to present anything.
I'm glad you had a great time in NYC! 🙂

You handled those questions superbly! I was panicking for you, but you were awesome! Wish I could have heard some of your creative stuff, but I'm sure that it will be out there soon enough. 🙂 Congrats again!
